BHS PTSA Programs
On an annual basis, PTSA sponsored
activities include the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon and Welcome Back Brunch. For Senior Awards Night we decorate
the stage and provide food and drink at the reception. The PTSA decorates the stage for graduation and grant seven
scholarships to seniors. The PTSA publishes the bi-monthly PTSA Newsletter, hosts two Ice Cream Socials, and supports
other programs such as Grad night, "
Every 15 minutes" (every other year), the
SAGE group,
and the Invisible Child Fundraiser.
These valuable programs are made possible by the generous donations
of time and money from the Benicia High School community.
Mini Grants:
In 2008-2009, the PTSA granted over $14,000 in
mini grants to BHS teachers. This included everything from simple boxes of Kleenex to computer monitors!!

Registration:
Over the last three years the PTSA volunteer coordinators have recruited more than 140 volunteers for annual registration.
The work of these volunteers has reduced the time it use to take for registration from 2 hours to a painless 20 minutes.
